About

I write about watches because I like to write. And because I like watches.

I review microbrands in Italian and English. No press releases, no hype, no links I would not click myself. Only my take: personal, honest, not always right.

Frequently asked

About microbrand watches and this site

What is a microbrand watch?

A microbrand is an independent watchmaker, typically producing fewer than 5,000 units per year, distributing direct-to-consumer, and operating below the €5,000 mainstream luxury threshold. Examples covered here include Baltic, Lorier, Halios, Christopher Ward, Atelier Wen, Traska.

Who writes these reviews?

Ferdinando Bonsegna, single author. Every review is independent. No watches are sent by brands for free keeps, and every sponsored or affiliate link is labelled explicitly.

How often is the site updated?

Reviews are published as they are written, roughly one to two per month. The newsletter goes out each time a new watch review publishes.

Can I suggest a watch for review?

Yes, via the contact form. Suggestions are read but not guaranteed to be covered. Priority goes to microbrands that ship to Europe.
